for securing first position in the University in the subjects of
English and Arabic in the B.A. Examination.

Having passed the
Central Superior Services of Pakistan Examination, 1969. I joined
the former Pakistan Taxation Service on 02.11.1970 in Junior Class-I
(BPS-17).
-
I was promoted to
BPS-18 on 01.11.1975; to BPS-19 on 04.04.1981; to BPS-20 on
09.09.1991 and to BPS-21 in 28.12.1998. I retired on 18.12.2004.
-
During thirty four
years of my service, I had an opportunity to serve in various
positions from which I acquired a variety of experience mainly in
the field of Income Tax.
-
While in BPS-17 and
18, I served as Income Tax Officer/Second Secretary, Central Board
of Revenue and Special Assistant to Commissioner Income Tax.
-
While in BPS-19, I
had an opportunity to serve in the capacity of Appellate Assistant
Commissioner/Inspecting Assistant Commission/Chairman, Income Tax
Panel and Secretary, Central Board of Revenue.

After my promotion
to BPS-20, I worked in the following positions:
